Margaritaville Vacation Club

The 34-acre resort, on idyllic Water Bay, is a tropical paradise embodying the laid-back, island-inspired spirit of the late Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. The Hillside Buildings Renovation involved six guest unit buildings originally constructed in 1984. Phase I consisted of 72 poolside guest units, pool, pool bar, restaurant, check-in building and back of house operations buildings. All new utility infrastructure, including domestic water and fire lines to each building, was constructed, as well as the implementation of hardscape and landscape.

Phase II comprised 194 guest units across the six existing buildings. Demolition was completed during Phase I, removing interior walls, finishes, doors and windows from the buildings. Existing stucco was power washed and prepped for a new finish coat, with the roof system retained to minimize water infiltration.

Each Hillside Building has five floors made up of cast-in-place concrete, hollow core planks, CMU block and wood framing. Building 8 was designed for Presidential Units and holds 24 luxury units. Buildings 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14 each house 34 standard guest units.
